Devlog #2
Sun Burnt My Hands » Devlog

Things I've done this week:
- Brainstormed core ideas for the backstory and worldbuilding
- Wrote the first few sets of dialogues
- Created a moodboard in figma and designed some characters
- Made a draft of Twine prototype of the second scene (attached in this devlog)
- Experimented with ui design and different visual styles
Some concerns I have:
- I found it harder than expected to embrace a playful exploration mindset—I kept shifting too quickly into execution.
- I spent too much time refining UI instead of freely exploring, and it felt like I was product designing rather than freely creating.
Now that the narrative and worldview are clear, next week I’ll focus on quick, imperfect prototyping with set time limits to make room for play. For clay, I’ll experiment with different models (environment/characters) and learn to dither them in Photoshop—without rushing to fit them into the game, as I don't want to move to production yet.
